Does Mexico issue exit stamps at airports, or only at land borders?
Aug 5, 2017 · Upon arrival, Mexican immigration stamps passports, signs off on the FMM, and returns the FMM to the traveler. Leaving Mexico, the airline collects the FMM as you pass through the airport departure gate. Mexican immigration doesn't participate in the departure, and one's passport is not stamped upon exit.

Dec 19, 2017 · I flew to Cancun, and was stamped in Mexico for entry. When I returned to the US, at DFW, no entry stamp was placed in my passport. I'm a US citizen. A few weeks later, I went to Mexico for a mission, and drove to the border. The Mexican border official would not let me enter Mexico, because I did not have a stamp showing I returned to the US.

Jul 7, 2024 · In most cases, when you enter Mexico by land from the US, you will only be waved through by the Mexican officer. You need to tell them that you want to get an FMM and stop by the immigration office. The FMM you get there will be stamped, and that stamp shows that you entered by land (the stamp includes a car shape).

May 14, 2024 · Recently, I went from Turkey to Paris to Mexico but mexico denied me entry. They didn't give me any reason. After that they sent me back to Paris but Paris put a stamp on my passport. They put me in a detention center and sent me back to my country. So I'm worried about it. Can I transit again in Paris or will this stamp create problems for me?

Mar 28, 2017 · The normal admission stamp showing you entered the US in B-2 status on March 27 and are admitted for the usual six months, until September 26; A second stamp across the face of the visa foil to mark your visa as used, which is just the normal admission stamp showing March 27; I cannot see a stamp that say April 27.

Jun 17, 2017 · As you can see from the TSA page on ID requirements, a valid "foreign government-issued passport" is sufficient without any further requirement. TSA officers only look at the ID page. They do not concern themselves with whether the passport has been used for international travel.

May 19, 2017 · So in the end, I did NOT turn the card in and the next time I entered Mexico some months later, the migration official said nothing about the old card. So basically I think you don't need to worry about the FMM unless you are flying out of Mexico, as they don't do checks at the land border with the US. –

I understand that I can travel to Mexico with an expired visa provided I have a valid I-797 and I-94. But I still have one question about requiring a tourist visa to Mexico.
